San Francisco is perhaps the most romantic of American cities. The clanging of the cable of car bell in Fisherman’s Wharf, the warm aroma of cappuccino in Italian North Beach, the sizzle of fresh Cantonese food in Chinatown, the breeze blowing across the Golden Gate Bridge- come please your senses in the place locals simply call “the City”.

But beyond SF, there’s one of the most magnificent coastlines you’ll ever see. Santa Cruz is Northern California’s “Surf City”. Catch the monster waves at Steamer’s Lane (with your camera), and then stroll the old-time atmosphere of the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, full of roller coaster’s and other seaside attractions. Further to the south, Monterey lies along the bay. Long ago it was the capital of “Alta California”. Now it’s a great tourist attraction. Come visit its world-renowned aquarium, sitting alongside Cannery Row, the fishery made famous by the novelist John Steinbeck. Take the beautiful 17-mile drive, running through coastal forests and along beautiful Pebble Beach, where Tiger Woods has practiced his magic. You’ll finish in Carmel, a particularly wealthy hamlet along the sea. Tour the art galleries and grab a souvenir. All this is just a taste of what the California coast can offer you! Our San Francisco and California Coast Package is designed for the independent traveler arriving in San Francisco and wanting to visit the city and the surrounding area. The itinerary can be combined in any order and with all or part of the recommended itinerary including extending stays. Additional destinations are also available but the two-day Yosemite trip is offered only on weekends.

Suggested Itinerary

Day 1	SFO meet and greet and private transfer to hotel. (Deluxe Package only) Hotel check-in — Free time for shopping in Union Square. Complimentary shopping coupons provided upon hotel check-in. Overnight in San Francisco.
Day 2	San Francisco City Tour (3.5 hours Group Tour/Standard Package, 5 hours Private Tour/Deluxe Package) Tour features: Golden Gate Bridge, Twin Peaks, Lombard Street, Civic Center, Chinatown, Union Square, Golden Gate Park, Alamo Square, and Fisherman's Wharf. Afternoon: Self-guided Alcatraz tour and Cable Car ride.
Day 3	Full day Napa Valley Tour As the golden hills of the Napa and Sonoma valleys undulate over the horizon, you'll sip a dry Chardonnay and wonder why you hadn't visited before! Learn about wine making at some of California's finest vintners. Visit three wineries. * It can be replaced with Full day Monterey & Carmel Tour
Day 4	Half Day Muir Woods and Sausalito Tour Across the Golden Gate Bridge you'll find Marin County, home of Muir Woods and Sausalito. You'll reconnect to nature among the redwoods of Muir Woods, and then you'll descend to a the charming artist colony of Sausalito. Originally a Portuguese fishing village, Sausalito offers fantastic views of San Francisco, fresh seafood and fine art. Free afternoon.
Day 5	2 Day Yosemite Trip See the valley that inspired the National Park system! Waterfalls cascade down steep granite walls. You'll explore the winding valley and hike up beautiful Mist Trail to Vernal Falls (weather permitting). Visit the oldest living things on the planet! These gigantic sequoia trees will dwarf your imagination (subject to closure due to snow).
Day 6	Check out of the hotel. Free till 2 pm or optional hike with tour guide (weather permitting). 2 pm Depart Yosemite for San Francisco. 8pm Approximate arrival in San Francisco. Overnight in San Francisco.
Day 7	Monterey and 17 Mile Drive Overnight in Monterey.
Day 8	Half day Hearst Castle tour, California Coast and Big Sur Overnight in Solvang.
Day 9	Santa Barbara and Solvang tour Early evening drop off at LA Union Station.

This package is available April 1st through October 29 every Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Terms and Conditions

To reserve, $200 per person deposit is required 45 days prior to departure date and 100% payment 30 days from trip departure. There is a 100% cancellation charge on cancellation made within 30 days of travel date. Tour departure change is allowed if change is made 21 days prior to departure date. However, there is a $50 change fee for packages with airfare.
